Senior Project and ESLRs

The four ESLRs are the following:

  • Effective Learner
  • Effective Communicator
  • Effective User of Technology
  • Effective I-Poly Citizen
  1. The ESLR I have excelled the most in is Effective Learner.
  2. I think I have excelled in this ESLR because whenever I am taking a class and the instructor tell me to adjust or change what I'm doing, then I do it. When the instructor gives me constructive criticism in my practice, I am open and I change it properly. I believe by being open to change, I have demonstrated the attributes of an effective learner for having better retained the knowledge of the position of the pose.
  3. I'm unsure how to provide a photo of what I previously described since it is not allowed to take pictures during a practice in a studio.

New Beginning.

So today I started my mentorship at Yoganette studios in West Covina. I got a call around 12:50 today asking if I could come in to help at the studio at 8. I was pretty excited when I got the call because I was having trouble with my senior project up until this point. When I went to the class, strangely enough the teacher Antionette dedicated the practice toward the concept of a new beginning. Strangely enough it fit my situation perfectly. Today was the mark of a new beginning for myself. The practice was intense. I noticed a clear difference between classes at a local gym versus classes in a studio. Studio classes are way more intensive. We worked primarily on alignment today. It was amazing how simple adjustments from the way you place your foot and the way you position your hips can make in your pose. I felt the burn today, but the burn felt oh so good. After class Antionette showed me around the studio and showed me how to clean it up. After some stress free cleaning, I was allowed to go home. I have to say I am looking forward to mentoring under this studio. The people are great.
